Hollow Heaven

Shona?

a faint whisper

a scream

inside My head.

Little footsteps

On the rain clouds

I raised My hand

Touched

the ocean

The raging waves engulfing

My being.

Shona?

I reach out

For you

Searching.

Familiar faces.

Ripped conscious masks

strewn on the floor.

My hand grips the edge

Clutching nothingness.

Eyes shut.

The handsome grey closing in.

I shudder.

Shona?

The bird swooped down

The bait

Albeit much loved

Pecked.

Shona?

I raised My hand

A corpse of burning dreams

Drowning.

Withering away.

One dream by dream.
